Summer School STEM Enrichment Program
Science from Scientists (SciSci) understands the importance of providing youth with highly engaging active learning experiences during the summer break. We leverage our extensive in-school experience to provide unique opportunities for youth to do science and engineering alongside real scientists and engineers. Our dynamic Scientist Educator team offers a variety of creative STEM experiences that will enhance and expand upon your current programming.

Our Summer School program’s features include:
Wide range of programming
Programming options available for grades 3–8.
All materials included
We bring everything needed for every student to actively engage in hands-on, minds-on learning.
Flexible offerings
We send two Scientist Educators, ensuring efficient materials management and ample one-on-one and small-group contact with students.
Fits into your schedule
Experiences can range from 40–60 minutes per class/session to best fit your schedule.
Themed experiences
Activities can be customized to align with your program themes.
Real STEM role models
Our educators have degrees in STEM and/or STEM industry experience.

Our Summer School program options
Choose from one of our specialized themed pathways, or let us tailor one to best fit your needs. We have more than 100 lessons in our extensive standards-aligned library.
Our Scientist Educators can work with your teaching team to integrate our scientist-led lessons into existing programming. We can provide extension integration support with pre- and post-lesson activities, structure and flow, and assist with curriculum development.

Natural Systems
Investigate how all life is interconnected, and how humans impact the planet. Youth will explore food webs, owl pellets, camouflage and mimicry, invasive species, oil spills, and sustainability through engaging hands-on activities and experiments.

Biomedical Sciences
Investigate biological traits that make us unique, brain adaptability, and how vaccines can prevent the spread of diseases. Youth will explore the science of DNA through engaging hands-on modeling/simulation activities and experiments involving hair, fingerprints, blood type, eye characteristics, and infectious disease.

Major Body Systems and Biotechnology
All animals in the animal kingdom have the same major body systems, which are adapted to each for the survival of their species. Investigate how several of the major systems function, compare them across species, and explore how biomedical engineering is helping to develop life-enhancing and life-saving technologies for when these systems fail. By the last session, youth will be wearing their own biomedical engineer hats, and creating their own simple biomedical design for an animal of their choosing.
