Library and museum programs
Science from Scientists (SciSci) offers STEM enrichment programs for libraries and museums for the purpose of inspiring interest in STEM and supporting your audience engagement efforts.
We offer a variety of standalone activities and multi-session mini-camps for 8-14 year olds held on-site at your library or museum. Each activity or session is roughly an hour long and are designed to introduce fundamental STEM concepts through interactive activities that foster curiosity, problem solving, creativity, and critical thinking.

Library and museum program options
After-school activities
Stand-alone 1-hour sessions that cover a variety of specific STEM topics, offering interactive experiments, demonstrations, and engaging discussions.
Weekend family activities
Stand-alone 1-hour sessions designed for multigenerational engagement for all family members.
Multi-visit programs and vacation camps
A series of 2-hour sessions offered over multiple days that delve deeper into STEM topics through a series of engaging activities, challenges, and hands-on projects. We offer flexible scheduling to fit event series, weeklong camps, after-school programming, and programming during holiday breaks.
Example STEM experiences

Earth day
Ecosystem and earth science activities
- Engaging sessions focused on understanding ecosystems, conservation, and environmental sustainability.
- Hands-on activities such as creating model ecosystems, exploring energy sources, or conducting experiments related to climate change and its impact on the environment.

Book themes
Author or book series activities
- Tailored STEM activities related to the themes, concepts, or scientific elements present in specific books or series.
- For instance, if a book theme involves space exploration, sessions could incorporate astronomy, rocket building, or simulated space missions. For a science fiction series, activities could revolve around futuristic technologies or hypothetical scientific advancements.

Seasonal changes
Weather and environmental science
- Season-focused activities exploring the science behind seasonal changes, weather patterns, and environmental shifts.
- Experiments may focus on, for example, meteorology, weather models, the water cycle, or human impacts on ecosystems.

Who are our Scientist Educators?
