Professional sports STEM programming
Providing fun science and engineering experiences through sports is one of the ways Science from Scientists (SciSci) works to win the hearts and minds of youths and families to see STEM in a more relatable and engaging way than what is provided by your standard science textbook. After all, science is everywhere!
In addition to our work in schools, SciSci works with community and corporate partners to create unique sponsorships to engage youths and families in memorable STEM experiences.

Science, Senses, and Sports
Boston Red Sox
Science, Senses, and Sports was the theme for SciSci’s special 2023-2025 collaboration with Collegium Pharmaceutical to bring four unique hands-on science experiences to 10 Red Sox baseball games at Fenway Park. We are continuing that theme with some new activities for the 2026-2028 partnership.
Youths and their families engaged their senses by interacting with fun, quick, baseball-themed science experiences such as Fenway Fingertips, Perfect Pitch, Red Sox Reaction Time, and Prism Pitching.
STEM Day at Target Field
Minnesota Twins
SciSci was one of the featured experiences at Minnesota Twins’ 2023 amd 2024 STEM Day at Target Field. Over 500 youths and their families engaged in science experiences such as Pitcher Pick-off and Fields of Color, experiments that help explain how your vision works; Batting Practice, a bean-bag tossing experiment to demonstrate your neurons at work after shifting your vision through prism goggles; and Beat the Pros, an experiment to test your reaction time and see how it compares to pro athletes.

Minnesota Bakken Museum event
Minnesota Vikings
In 2021, SciSci partnered with Medtronic Foundation, the Minnesota Vikings, and the Northside Achievement Zone for an event at the Minnesota Bakken Museum. About 50 students from two different schools attended our event. SciSci taught the students about simple machines, and then the students built and demonstrated Rube Goldberg devices using the simple machines. Volunteers from Medtronic and several Vikings players helped the students build their devices.
Bermuda 2017
America's Cup
In 2017, Science from Scientists was the official educational partner of America’s Cup, leading hands-on STEM experiences in the Endeavor Zone as well as hosting science theater demonstrations. Over 7,000 Bermudian youths and their families participated in scientific demonstrations and hands-on experiments related to sailing.
