After-School STEM program

 Science from Scientists After-School program is a great way to help students develop their STEM mindset and engage with STEM concepts over an extended period of time outside of the school environment. Plus, students have the unique experience of working alongside real scientists and engineers, which enhances their learning and connection to the field. 

After-School allows students time to delve deeper into STEM topics in a more relaxed environment and cultivate their interest and understanding through hands-on, minds-on activities not typically covered within the confines of the school day. We supply all the materials, along with passionate, authentic scientist educators who will lead the fun and learning throughout this meaningful and unforgettable experience.

Exploring the Amazon

Explore the Amazon rainforest by discovering how to climb with water to the top of a 100-foot tree, hide from a snake with a frog, and race a howler monkey to the tastiest fruit tree! Dive into the fascinating world of animal adaptations, nature’s recycling plan, and the importance of biodiversity. Real scientists guide youth through hands-on, minds-on activities to uncover the wonders of the Amazon!

Space Engineering

Calling all future NASA engineers! Learn more about our solar system as you design mining equipment for asteroids, consider how to keep your landing gear from catching fire, and add maneuverability to your Mars rover. This dynamic program helps youth to develop perseverance, creativity and the teamwork they’ll need to become engineers through astronomic problem solving alongside real, role-model scientists!

Medical Mysteries

No two people are exactly the same. Ever wonder why? Curious to find the answers? Join us to discover the wild and wonderful ways we are unique and what makes us human! Each day you will solve a new mystery! Like: Why are your eyes that color? How does breathing work? How does your brain learn things? Real scientists will guide you through activities like DNA extraction, dusting for fingerprints, and even looking at a real (sheep) brain!
